How to dress like Skeletor (He-Man) for Cosplay and Halloween

About Skeletor

Skeletor is a character in the franchise Masters of the Universe. He is the main supervillain antagonist and serves as his nephew, He-Man’s nemesis. His sole aim is to rule over the universe with the power of Castle Greyskull, but he falls short thanks to his lax henchmen.

The character is humanoid, with blue skin. Skeletor has a bare-bone head and wears a hood over it. He made his first appearance in 1983 in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe; he went on to show in the live-action film Masters of the Universe in 1987. There is an upcoming live-action reboot where Skeletor makes a comeback.

Skeletor wields a magic staff named Havoc and uses it for mystic attacks and dream thefts. He also has telepathic abilities, which he uses to give orders to his minions. Oddly, Skeletor has affections for animals, owning a few as pets.

About Skeletor Costume

The Skeletor costume oozes power and magic, and you can achieve the look with several items. A skull mask and a hooded chest plate kick things off; there are several custom chest plates, and you’re sure to find an accurate replica in no time.

Next is the blue skin color. You could paint your body blue (you could do that) or get a full-body swimming or diving suit. Skeletor has a purple boot on some adaptations, but you can make do with a pair of Wellingtons.

A pair of Warrior painted purple is necessary, then, find a PVC pipe and a decorative ram’s skull, and you have yourself the Havoc Scepter; don’t forget to paint it purple as well. The other accessories include Skull belts and a Skeletor sword. However, you could skip the DIY steps and buy a full set Skeletor costume instead.
