About Raven

Raven is a fictional character in DC Comics with mythical powers. She is the Cambion product of a demon father (Trigon) and a human mother (Arella). She is a frontline member of the superhero team Teen Titans and occasionally takes up the phony name Rachel Roth.

She has a plethora of abilities, majorly due to her Cambion status. Raven can read emotions and alter them at will; she can astral project into what she calls her “soul-self” as well. She has other dark powers, a derivative of her demonic lineage; she can move shadows and dark matter around and summon magical elements with relative ease.

The character made her first appearance in 1980, in the comics. She has since then appeared on television as an animated and live-action character. Furthermore, she appeared in film adaptations in Teen Titans, Justice League, and Smallville. For the most part, Tara Strong voiced Raven in the movies.
